Activity Fund – October 2026 call

The call is open and the deadline for submitting projects is 31 October 2026.

The IFAC Activity Fund invites applications for financial support of initiatives that foster and promote public engagement from the control community. The fund sponsors projects that:

  • Maximize control community engagement;
  • Promote inclusion and diversity in alignment with the IFAC guidelines;
  • Increase control engineering influence in public discourse and decision-making.

Applicants can request financial assistance of 2,500€ to 12,500€. Higher amounts can also be requested in exceptional situations.

A committee of five members from different geographical regions and technical backgrounds administers the fund. The committee currently comprises

  • Carlos E. Pereira  (Brazil, Chair),
  • Sarah K. Spurgeon (United Kingdom),
  • Marco Macchi (Italy),
  • Toby Louw (South Africa),
  • Hideaki Ishii (Japan, TB Chair).

The next application deadline is 31 October 2026. Applications should be submitted via the cloud form.
