Outcomes of the 2026 General Assembly

The General Assembly of IFAC took place on 24 August 2026 in Busan. A new triennium starts with a newly elected Council and a new President: Maria Prandini.

The General Assembly gathered the representatives from each one of the 45 National Member Organizations. 33 countries/regions were represented on site and 7 gave a proxy to another NMO.

The 2023-2026 reports by the outgoing President Dan Cho and the Vice-Presidents for Technical Activities (Carlos Pereira), Publications (Sarah Surgeon), Conferences (Richard Braatz), Operations (Dimitri Peaucelle), Finances (Silvia Mastellone) were presented and approved.

The IFAC membership status was presented by the Membership committee Chair, and immediate past President, Hajime Asama. No vote was cast, neither for approving new members, nor for stopping membership. Ongoing discussions can lead to new membership of non-represented countries or regions in the close future. The membership fees remain unchanged.
